Their work is being recognized for the Reliable Service and Assets award.

Our crews are marking critical repairs to the Mountain Tunnel. The tunnel transports drinking water from Hetch Hetchy to the 2.7 million San Francisco Bay Area customers that rely on our services. The infrastructure repair work that our crews are doing on the Mountain Tunnel now is key to the resiliency and reliability of our water supply for many years to come.
Fats, oils, and grease clog and erode pipes. Recycling your used cooking oil through our SFGreasecycle program prevents nasty build ups and blocks in our aging sewer pipes. After cooking with any fats and oils make sure to collect, store, and recycle your used grease properly. Once recycled, we will convert the used cooking oil into sustainable biofuel that is used to power diesel fleets.
