For many people, there is one important daily ritual that jumpstarts their morning: a much-needed cup of coffee.
The SFPUC and Andytown Coffee Roasters have joined forces highlight the important role of our high-quality water in creating the morning coffee rituals enjoyed throughout the city.
On Saturday, May 18, Andytown will host a unique learning opportunity in collaboration with participating SFPUC staff. During this event, participants will go beyond brewing coffee and get to explore brewing and tasting variations using several kinds of water. This free event at Andytown’s Taraval Street location will be a fun, educational and interactive event to fully unpack what goes into making a daily cup of coffee possible.

While the SFPUC provides education about water quality and the benefits of drinking tap water, our local business partners who rely on San Francisco tap water to develop their products, will have the opportunity to educate the community about their production process.
This spring, the SFPUC is partnering with local businesses across the city to host water education and ‘ask an expert’ style events. These events provide opportunities for residents to connect with the SFPUC about SF water and its role in making some of San Francisco’s most popular products possible.
