SFPUC Honored by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers

The award committee of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) recently voted the SFPUC as the 2018 Outstanding Company for our active promotion and support of its industry. NACE bestows this prestigious honor once per year.

For many years, the SFPUC’s engineering staff has been taking an active role in NACE’s Western Area Conference events. SFPUC also provided a site for the construction of a cathodic protection test facility at the Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant. Corrosion control personnel from local government agencies, from other states, and from other countries have attended the NACE Cathodic Protection classes using this training facility.
