Mobile Power – Flexible, Affordable and Clean Energy Solutions for Off-Grid Communities
Mobile power provides flexible, affordable and clean energy solutions for off-grid communities. We’ve partnered with them to bring their pay-per-use battery sharing model to Sierra Leone.
The entertainment industry needs cost-competitive, zero-emissions power. Our goal is to accelerate the development and deployment of cleaner alternatives to diesel generators. The entertainment industry requires reliable and scalable power that meets rigorous production standards.
Mobile Substation
A mobile substation is a power distribution system on wheels that integrates equipment like transformers and cooling systems. The unit can be trailer-mounted or in a container designed to travel by road, rail, sea, or air. It can be customized with different voltage levels, power ratings, configurations, features, and accessories to match the specific requirements of each project. It must also comply with state and federal road regulations, grid codes, and safety standards.
Mobile substations are often used as an alternate power source for planned maintenance projects, emergency services in case of a natural disaster or power outage, and as temporary facilities at construction sites. In addition, they can provide power to industrial plants and other large facilities. Check out more at betl.
Swartz Engineering offers high-quality mobile substations with a variety of options to meet customer needs. Each unit is manufactured with the highest quality components and rigorously tested to ensure maximum reliability and durability. They are also easy to install and can be shipped quickly.
Mobile Power Plant
A mobile power plant is a portable system that provides electricity while on the move. They can be used to supply power in remote areas, during emergencies, or for temporary gatherings. They usually consist of power generation machinery and fuel supplies. They can be powered by either diesel or natural gas. The use of natural gas is gaining popularity due to lower harmful emissions and global trends towards cleaner energy sources.
Setting up electricity infrastructure in remote or off-grid regions can be difficult and expensive. Mobile power plants offer a cost-effective and efficient solution for these situations.
USAID’s FT8 MOBILEPAC gas turbine power plant is helping Ukraine withstand Russia’s full-scale invasion by providing emergency power to schools, hospitals, accommodation centers for displaced people, district heating companies, and more. This innovative power plant is transportable and ready for immediate deployment in a matter of days. It is also able to run on multiple types of fuel, allowing Ukraine to be prepared for any eventuality.
Portable Battery Packs
A portable battery pack, also known as a power bank, is a mobile charger that gives you extra power for your phone, tablet, or other device. They come in many shapes, sizes and capacities — the higher the capacity number (measured in milliamp hours or mAh), the bigger and more powerful it is.
Capacity is the main factor when choosing a power bank; look for a model that can recharge your smartphone at least twice and can charge other USB-compatible devices such as your GoPro camera or Kindle reader. Some power banks even display a digital indicator showing you how much charge is left so that you can plan accordingly.
Other factors to consider are port numbers and output speeds. If you need to charge multiple devices, a battery pack with multi-port ports will allow you to do so, but it’s important to note that each port’s output is shared. The faster the charging speed, the better.
Portable Chargers
Portable chargers are battery packs that let you charge your mobile devices on the go. They’re sometimes called power banks, pocket power cells or fuel banks and they come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and capacities.
Typically, power banks use USB ports to connect with your mobile devices and recharge. They also offer a variety of outputs to keep you powered, including shared power banks that allow you to charge two smartphones and tablets simultaneously.
In general, portable chargers can be carried on a plane – they just need to be powered off (and sufficiently charged to demonstrate that they’re working correctly when inspected by airport security). However, the capacity of your portable charger may impact the regulations in individual airlines, so it’s worth checking before you travel.
